Google AdWords: New Feature For Better Geo-Targeting

Google has changed the way to select targeted geographical location in AdWords. This new feature provides more flexibility for selecting targeted areas and excluding unwanted visitors.

It is easy to access this new feature. Just login to your AdWords account, select campaign you would like to adjust, click button ‘Edit Settings’, click ‘Edit’ in Location section.

You can select area of any size such as country, state, city, street, etc. Within selected areas you can exclude any place. AdWords provides list of geographic areas. You can start with country and go deep to state/region and city.

At the same time you can specify particular area and define distance around selected place (“Show my ads within __ km/mi”).

New feature provides great flexibility for advertisers and gives an opportunity to adjust campaigns for better geographic targeting.
