Web analytics is such a great industry. One thing that I really like is the pace of change. It feels like there’s always a new tool or new data to play with. Sometimes it’s maddening how fast things change! But that keeps it interesting and fresh.
Keeping pace with change is a challenge, but we’ve been making some very important adjustments at Cardinal Path to stay up to date and provide innovative solutions and services to our clients. From testing to social media, and of course Google Analytics, we’ve been augmenting our team over the last 6 months.
One upcoming change at Cardinal Path has to do with me.
I’ll be leaving my position at Cardinal Path and joining the Google Analytics team starting in January 2012.
It was a hard decision. I really enjoy working on the Digital Intelligence team. From top to bottom it’s stacked with talent. They are an exceptional group of people that produce high quality work and are constantly pushing the bounds of what web analytics is and what you can do with data.
But the opportunity to join the team at Google is really appealing. I’ve known many people on the GA team for a number of years and am excited at the chance to shape data, analysis and how business make better decisions. This is literally an opportunity that is too good to pass up.
I’d like to publicly say thank you to the entire team at Cardinal Path. Especially the partners, who are quickly, and quietly, building a new type of consultancy. You guys are not afraid to embrace change which is critical in our fast-paced industry.
I’ll offer some more details about my new role at Google and some personal thoughts in a couple of days on my own blog.
