New Workshop at eMetrics: Mastering the Digital Analytics Process

Based on the study of hundreds of organizations and data collected through the Online Analytics Maturity self-assessment, we can confirm the lack of a systematic, proven methodology is the biggest impediment to developing a culture of digital analytics within organizations. With a benchmark score of 1.5 out of 5, Methodology and Process is the weakest of the six key areas identified by the OAMM based on 234 opted-in results filled between December 2011 and December 2012.
At Cardinal Path we are adopting a Lean Six Sigma approach alongside Agile development concepts, to streamline our analytics practice. We are currently working hard to complete the development of a new full-day training that will first be offered at eMetrics Toronto in March and eMetrics San Francisco in April. Chicago and Boston are also coming up in June and September respectively. DAA members get a 20% discount or use promo code “TOUR2013” to get 10% off.

Why you should attend this workshop

Do you have more work than you can handle, more data than humanly possible, not enough buy-in from management and you struggle to deliver good quality analysis and insight? Then this workshop is for you! The workshop will cover
  • An efficient and proven five step process to conduct analysis based on Lean Six Sigma;
  • Address all aspects from stakeholder requirement gathering all the way through effective communication of insights;
  • Hands-on exercises and takeaways;
  • Pre- and post-workshop activities and follow-up.
We have outlined some of the essential elements of Lean Six Sigma for Digital Analysts in a post published at Online-Behaviour.com. After reading this article, the link between digital analytics maturity and process rigor and efficiency should be obvious. Before attending the workshop, participants will be invited to complete an Online Analytics Maturity self-assessment and share some of the challenges they are facing. The workshop will kick with a review of those results and adapt the agenda based on the feedback received. We will address the needs and necessity for a solid and proven problem solving and improvement methodology – namely, Lean Six Sigma – and how it can be perfectly suited for the digital analytics function. You will learn about the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC for short) fundamentals and which approaches are best suited to conduct efficient analysis and engage stakeholders in the process. Curious? Check the details on the eMetrics website and register for Toronto or San Francisco. This workshop will also likely be offered at other eMetrics events. Contact Cardinal Path to do a deeper digital analytics maturity assessment and develop a roadmap that will leverage your strengths and address your weaknesses.
