The time to future proof your analytics implementation is now.
Universal Analytics will be deprecated on July 1, 2023, creating a new sense of urgency for brands to create a clear roadmap to adoption. This evolution in analytics is truly a paradigm shift in measurement and migration requires careful consideration. The earlier your brand transitions, the sooner you can take advantage of GA4’s built-in, automated insights to create best-fit audiences.
Google has announced that all current properties will be migrated to Google Analytics 4 in the next few years. While you have time to complete your migration, early adoption can deliver many benefits: from historical data capture to leveling up internal skill sets, so your organization can reap the rewards of the new platform and its added value while preparing a seamless transition.
Cardinal Path's award-winning team has delivered thousands of successful Google Analytics implementations. Our expertise doesn't stop at implementation but extends and amplifies the value of your data through insights and activation. With Cardinal Path, you'll benefit from baked-in governance, best practices, and data privacy, all laddering up to a culture of data-driven marketing to elevate your brand.
Getting the most out of GA4 requires more than just a best-in-class implementation – it requires adoption. Leverage new capabilities and everything you love about your current implementation, ensure solid governance, and equip your teams with critical knowledge and skills for success with GA4.
This depends on your Universal Analytics (UA) implementation. Users of standard Universal Analytics will need to transition to GA4 by July 1, 2023. Users of Universal Analytics 360 will need to transition by October 1, 2023.
We recommend starting your transition as soon as possible so you can run UA and GA4 side by side and start populating GA4 with data to power machine-learning and year over year analysis. Not sure where to start? Check out our tips for a seamless Google Analytics 4 migration.
No, 360 users will not be charged twice if for using both GA4 and UA during the migration period. To encourage early migration, Google will not charge GA4 360 users for data collection until the Universal Analytics deprecation date. The standard version of analytics will continue to be free.
