This hands-on course will expose you to the advanced features and dashboard capabilities offered by Google Data Studio. You will learn how to connect to Google Analytics and many other data sources. You will also learn how to easily create, manage and share beautiful dashboards within Google Data Studio.

In this course,we will explore all of Data Studio’s features, including connecting to data sources, creating various visualization and bringing it all together in dashboards.

What Can I Expect?

At lunch (included with training) meet and learn from your peers.   Our Instructors are active practitioners of digital marketing and measurement.  We welcome your questions. Training locations all have WiFi.  Bring your laptop to build your own dashboards as part of the class.

Our electronic hand-outs provide step by step guides to selecting the right visualization and creating a dashboard for your organization.  Great for in-class and later when you are creating your own dashboards.

Prerequisites

This online course requires basic knowledge of reporting, ideally from Google Analytics and AdWords.

Instructor: Jay Murphy

Director, Cardinal Path Training and Lead Analytics Instructor

Leading the Cardinal Path Training team as Director, as well as lead Instructor, Jay brings years of experience working with organizations to successfully convert business imperatives to effective marketing results by delivering analytics, website development, social media strategy, SEM, SEO, Data Visualization,  and display advertising.

Jay has worked with many companies including GE, Harvard University and Janus Mutual Funds. He previously worked as managing director of Trionia, a boutique online marketing firm.  And before that at Sapient as a director of program management; where he led projects in a variety of industries including higher education, financial services and energy.

Jay’s earlier experiences at Draper Laboratory helped him to hone his analytical talent where he analyzed guidance systems and created spacecraft navigation software for NASA, the U.S. Navy and the U. S. Air Force.  Including the camera alignment algorithm used on the Cassini mission to Saturn.

He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University and a M.S. in Electric Engineering from Tufts University. He was awarded a Draper Fellowship to attend Tufts University and took doctoral level course work at MIT in Aerospace Engineering.

When not online, Jay can be found in a kayak or sailboat near his home in Hull, Massachusetts.
