Described as “analytics ninjas” by Forrester Research, we consider data to be the raw material of our craft.  We have experience up and down the Business Intelligence stack to include advanced attribution modeling and deploying and integrating leading analytics platforms, dashboards, tag management, and statistical analysis technologies.  We do this through our proven approach, the Cardinal Path, to provide clients with a single point of truth that informs and empowers confident data-driven decision-making.  We applied this approach to brands such as Merck, Papa Johns, US Cellular, NPR, MSNBC, DeVry and hundreds of others.

Recently acquired by the Dentsu-Aegis Network, Cardinal Path is continuing its rapid growth, and we are looking for a Director of Client Services to expand our growth opportunities with top clients and help shape our Client Services team for the future.

The Director of Client Services will provide strategic oversight and revenue growth on a book of client businesses. The optimal candidate will have an expertise in all digital media principles and apply them to defining, planning and executing against a client’s objectives. A successful Director must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to both work and lead a distributed team with responsibility for client service and business growth. They must be comfortable mining for new revenue opportunities either within existing client businesses or with new clients. They must possess excellent active listening skills to understand client needs and translate those needs to business opportunities.

Job Description

  • Sets the strategic tone, direction and supervision for Cardinal Path clients. This includes overseeing client needs, staffing, strategy, quality of work, and budgeting; clearly identifying and communicating client’s business strategy and needs cross-functionally within Cardinal Path.
  • Supports the creation and execution of an analytics plan that drives actions and outcomes to grow client’s business. Creates and maintains solid client relationships including: strategy development, project management, report delivery, and client communication
  • Develops a revenue generating plan for clients through incremental and new opportunities rooted in a deep understanding of the Cardinal Path offering coupled with research of clients’ business.
  • Optimizes the drivers of direct sales, including team, technology, spend and programs, to achieve predictability, cost-efficiency, and scale. This will include the development and monitoring of key historical business metrics, as well as quarterly and annual forecasts that will both be used to manage the business.
  • Ensures and oversees that excellent relationships are maintained and enhanced with appropriate staff at client organizations to achieve continually high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Supports the Client Services team to ensure quality execution that drives toward client’s business objectives and key metrics. Evaluates performance daily with their team to ensure client goals are met or exceeded.
  • Works with a cross-functional Cardinal Path team to execute an implementation plan, meet plan deadlines, customer expectations and program milestones.
  • Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answers technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teach improved processes; mentor team members.
  • Promotes the mission and values of the organization both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, engineering, mathematics or statistics. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 8-10 years of work experience, with recent managerial experience in large digital media engagements and an understanding of the media strategies and tactics that can be employed.
  • Proven experience working with $1MM+ accounts; including case studies highlighting the growth of accounts that you have managed.
  • Experience managing profitable budgets, meeting deadlines and managing teams.
  • Experience working with international client accounts a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with experience creating clear, concise, professional documents and presentations. Excellent story teller.
  • Ability to lead and execute in an ambiguous environment.
  • Motivational and collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to travel moderately within the North America and internationally.

Senior Consultant / Analyst – Client Services

The Senior Consultant-Analyst, Client Services will provide strategic oversight and revenue growth on a book of client businesses. The optimal candidate will have expertise in leveraging data and analytics to guide marketing decision-making.  They will also have a familiarity with digital media principles and apply them to defining, planning and executing against a client’s objectives.

A successful candidate must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to work with teammates across offices to deliver quality work to meet and exceed client expectations, while identifying and cultivating growth opportunities. They must be comfortable creating and refining processes and mining for new revenue opportunities, primarily within existing client businesses. They must possess excellent active listening skills to understand client needs and translate those needs to business opportunities.  The ideal candidate would routinely demonstrate the ability to obtain quality insights from data and communicate what those mean to client stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees client needs, staffing requirements, strategy, quality of work, and budgeting within a book of clients; clearly identifies and communicates clients’ business strategy and needs cross-functionally within Cardinal Path.
  • Consult directly with client and/or their agencies on projects involving data and analytics relating to marketing performance.
  • Supports the creation and execution of an analytics plan that drives actions and outcomes to grow client’s business.
  • Creates and maintains solid client relationships including: strategy development, project management, report delivery, and client communication.
  • Develops a revenue generating plan for clients through incremental and new opportunities rooted in a deep understanding of the Cardinal Path offering coupled with research of clients’ business.
  • Use strong analytical skills to provide insights as well as recommendations relating to media optimization; convince client decision-makers of potential benefits of such recommendations.
  • Optimizes the drivers of direct sales, including team, technology, spend and programs, to achieve predictability, cost-efficiency, and scale.
  • Ensures and oversees that excellent relationships are maintained and enhanced with appropriate staff at client organizations to achieve continually high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Works with a cross-functional Cardinal Path team to execute an implementation plan, meet plan deadlines, customer expectations and program milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field;
  • 4+ years of experience across a combination of agency and publisher/ad-tech sales-side roles
  • Knowledge of key marketing delivery and reporting platforms including DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Klipfolio, Tableau, etc. required
  • Familiarity with data processing tools (BigQuery, R, SQL) a plus (not required)
  • Familiarity with traditional media concepts a plus (not required)
  • Familiarity with data science/modeling concepts and uses in service of media and marketing decision-making a plus (not required)
  • Adept at delivering persuasive client-facing presentations
  • Skilled at developing and incorporating sales opportunities organically within client discussions
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
