Social Media & Marketing Internship

Are you on top of the latest technology, trends, and topics proliferating in the social sphere? Have you experimented with the tools of the trade, and are you looking for an opportunity to use them in a business setting?

Cardinal Path is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience and fanatical passion for social media and community engagement.  This position is a paid internship with a chance to learn from some of the brightest minds in the business, gain valuable experience for your resume, and network with the Phoenix interactive community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Curate and schedule content for feeds and snippets in various social media sites
  • Help build and maintain conversational content to be dispersed through social channels
  • Real-time monitoring and coordination of knowledge resources for conversational participation
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding our brand, report to appropriate parties
  • Interact with MarComm, SEO, SEM & Training departments to implement and report on marketing efforts
  • Conduct research using keyword and trending topics tools
  • Create and update daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data for use in social revision and growth

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors-level degree program with coursework in marketing, social media, journalism, communications, or other related areas
  • An obsession with social technology & blogging experience a major plus!
  • Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability to crank out content
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, and able to demonstrate why your ideas are analytically sound
  • Discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user generated content
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
  • Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Creativity, initiative, flexibility, energy, a drive to succeed, and ability to take direction well and build upon critical feedback.

Throughout this internship, we will also provide ample networking and personal branding opportunities, resume and portfolio help, and any industry insight we can offer.

Technical Details:

This position will pay $8/hr, working in our Tempe office at Warner & Kyrene.  Parking is free and readily available, dress code is casual but clean, and free treats and caffeine are plentiful. We are extremely flexible on start date, end date, hours (roughly 15 hours per week), length of internship, etc.  Initial length of internship is planned for 150 hours, but it can be more or less depending upon your needs and ours.  For the chosen applicant, we will work with your schedule, and any degree requirements you may have, to make this work.
