Client Services Associate

Department: Client Services

The Client Services Associate is responsible for overseeing and strategically guiding client relationships for a portfolio of accounts and managing client projects while providing project and opportunity guidance to the internal delivery team.  In addition, the Client Services Associate is responsible for monitoring and reporting portfolio health to the Director, Client Services and Manager, Client Services, and staying abreast of project status for their entire portfolio.  The Client Services Associate must have a pedigree in interactive marketing and analytics with a strong understanding of the clients’ businesses, industries, economic models, organizational trends and customer needs in order to identify client needs and growth opportunities, and lead with relevant digital analytics solutions.

Practice Development

  • Direct/oversee client work in order to ensure delivery of quality and on-brand solutions to ensure consumer-focused solutions that are also in balance with our clients’ best interests
  • Work with other leaders to ensure collaboration across domains, to help proactively manage issues, and create overall plans for achieving annual and long-term goals
  • Lead the internal team and clients by helping the teams apply our thought leadership in ways that will deliver on our clients’ business goals in innovative ways
  • Be passionate about delivering the best thought leadership, insights, and technology by finding creative ways of leading/overseeing the execution of projects within client portfolio that does not jeopardize schedule or budget

Client Delivery

  • Approve & oversee all deliverables ensuring that they deliver on-brand, on-strategy and that the client understands the context and rationale
  • Proactively manage client relationships by acting as a strategic advisor to the client using a keen understanding of the client’s business and marketing objectives, not only the current project
  • Responsible for visibility into entire portfolio of projects
  • Oversees the execution of their portfolio of projects across the Digital Intelligence (DI) and Digital Marketing (DM) groups
  • Collaborate with clients and their partner agencies to develop clear business objectives, be aware of high impact digital marketing programs, and steward measurement of those programs
  • Act on the client satisfaction survey results for the portfolio, ensuring quality improvement plans are developed and executed
  • Oversees the successful completion of the agreed upon project deliverables within scope, time and budget with quality while consistently exceeding client expectations
  • Ensures client needs are met regarding their portfolio of projects

Business Development

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing and new clients by selling ideas that align with client’s business, consumer and brand objectives across all domains with Cardinal Path (DI and DM)
  • Meet revenue growth targets
  • Conduct and actively use strategic client planning to identify growth opportunities
  • Assist in developing and delivering proposals and statements of work ensuring scope is clearly defined and costs match what is outlined in the project plan
  • Proactively review the SOWs with clients to ensure that they understand their responsibilities to the success of the project
  • Lead strategic client planning and actively monitor efforts against the plan to guide delivery teams’ strategies & engagements with the client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • 3 – 5  years of experience working within a digital marketing agency (media or analytics)
  • Demonstrated project management, business development, and team management skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate across teams within an organization
  • Working knowledge of interactive marketing and analytics, including Google Analytics and Adobe SiteCatalyst
  • Proven ability to sell and lead the development of successful marketing solutions into senior management
  • Familiarity with advanced digital marketing analytics, including attribution modeling and media mix analysis preferred
  • The ability to travel, including internationally
