About Us

Scott Baum

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Scott comes to Cardinal Path after most recently working with Abundant Venture Partners and possesses multi-industry experience managing in start-up, business turn-around, and high-growth environments. His main areas of expertise are human resources, operations, technology, international business, and in leading global change initiatives – which has included expatriate assignments in four countries.

Prior to joining the team, Scott was at Culligan International (owned by PE firm CDR), where he was part of a team that successfully turned around and sold the $300 MM North American Dvision. Before that Scott was COO/CHRO at CarePages.com, the world’s largest healthcare social networking website. CarePages grew over 50% per year during Scott's tenure and was sold to Revolution Health. Prior to CarePages.com, Scott was at Bombardier, a $15 B Canadian aerospace and transportation company, where he had assignments in Chicago, London and Berlin. Scott has a Bachelors of Labor and Human Resources and a Masters of Labor and Human Resources with an emphasis in international business, both from Ohio State University.

Scott is passionate about travel and community service. Having traveled to over 60 countries, you will always find him planning or fantasizing about his next destination. Scott is a Board member of Heartland International Health Center, a FQHC that provides accessible, quality health care to over 15,000 patients across ten clinics on the north side of Chicago. He is also on the Advisory Board of Autism Home Support Services, which offers in-home, one-on-one telemedicine technology services to children with autism.
