David Friedman, who also serves as Executive-in-Residence at Abundant Venture Partners –parent company to Cardinal Path – has over 25 years of experience assisting retail and consumer organizations in building brands through great customer experiences. As founder and CEO of AutonomyWorks, David leads an organization that enables clients to focus on strategy by taking on their marketing operations tasks such as data, analytics and web maintenance. AutonomyWorks harnesses the unique talents of workers with autism and other disorders on the autism spectrum to deliver high-quality, cost-competitive business Process Execution services to companies of all sizes.
Prior to starting AutonomyWorks, David served as President, Marketing for Sears Holdings where he was re responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Marketing business unit including customer and supplier loyalty programs, branding, market research, advertising and promotion, public relations and creative services. David was charged with driving the growth and increased customer relevance of Sears, Kmart and their core brands along with providing heightened focus on the company’s differentiating strengths and businesses.
Before his time at Sears, David spent 11 years as an executive with Razorfish – one of the world’s largest interactive marketing and technology companies. There, he served as President, Americas leading the Razorfish business in North and South America. David earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
